Opera Cultura is a product of a former arts organization, the Music Theater Collaborative (MTC), and is fiscally sponsored by MACLA. The mission of Opera Cultura is to explore the Latino and Latino – American cultural experience through opera and music theater. In 2008, it collaborated with the Mission Chamber Orchestra and the Mexican Heritage Corporation to present a new production of Mr. Armienta’s chamber opera,Rio de Mujeres/River of Women. |
